From ABOVE Mag: How to Make Online Reviews Work

It’s becoming more and more popular and we know many of our RE/MAX of Indiana agents are already doing it!

Yelp, Trulia, Zillow, Google and other online sites are seeing higher numbers of buyers and sellers providing feedback regarding their real estate experiences for all the world to read.

You have so many other things to manage and spend your time on, so should you be concerned with these online reviews? If so, how do you make them work in your favor? Where should you start? Check out what a couple of RE/MAX agents had to say about how to make online reviews work!

Getting started
Brian Teyssier says, these days, an online presence – and online reviews – should be a given for any agent.

“They’re a cheap and easy way to market yourself,” says Teyssier, a Sales Associate with RE/MAX Advanced Realtors in Pittsburgh.

Online ratings brought so much business to Teyssier that he’s now advertising on Zillow.

Asking for reviews
California Broker Associate, Theautis Persons and his wife Tracy, who work as a team with RE/MAX Gold in Vallejo, like to make their “pitch” to buyers and sellers as a transaction nears completion.

“After every closing, when there are hugs and tears,” Persons says, “that’s the moment to ask for a review.”
